We looked at each other in the office, pretending to weigh the alternatives.
But some decisions are made before the discussion even begins.
You know us – we care about current events only up to a point. We follow what stirs something inside us.
And that Sunday in Roubaix left too much of a mark to ignore.
We told ourselves that one day, years from now, someone will pick up this issue of alvento and look back to that afternoon.
That seemed like enough of a reason. Or maybe it was just a good excuse to reinforce what we’d already decided.
